February 2012 – McTavishing
At our February meeting Gwen gave a demonstration and explanation on McTavishing. Using pencil and paper, she helped clear up many of the stumbling blocks some of us encountered when attempting this quirky type of quilting.
EMQG members were challenged to McTavish a fat quarter and bring it to the next meeting for display and discussion.
December 2011 – Ugly Fat Quarter Challenge
In December members of the EMQG brought fat quarters to exchange. The challenge was to blindly pick from the collection and make something using someone else’s ugly fabric. Samples were due in January with the final project due in February.
